Happy 12th Birthday, Alex!

Alex turned 12 today, January 27th. So hard to believe that our oldest child is now 12 years old! Alex adds so much to our family. He's quite the tease and is a great big brother to his little sisters. I'm so grateful for his daily hugs. Alex met with the bishop on Sunday and will be ordained to be a deacon.

We had both families come over for dinner on Sunday and then had the traditional cake & ice cream.

Our kids with cousins Jake & Josh.

Alex scored lots of great presents: Shirts & a hoodie & $ from Grandma & Duane, $ from Grandma & Grandpa, U of U shirt & treats from Steve & Margo & kids, game from Jared & Marize and a "day of fun" from Ellen & Angie. This shirt from Jeff & Missy is perfect for Alex. Alex lives for playing the guitar.
On Tuesday, we took him shopping for his presents. He picked out Mario Cart for the Wii, Guitar Hero World Tour & Decades for the DS and a new Wii remote. For each of our kid's birthdays, we let them pick their favorite restaurant for dinner. Alex picked Olive Garden, one of our family favorites! We had a great time celebrating your birthday, Alex and LOVE you so much!

Wow. I can't believe he is going to be a deacon! That is so crazy.

I think I'm more nervous/excited about our boys turning 12 than our girls....for sure!
